Alain Cresson

Expert in the Aeronautics, Defence and Security industries in Japan

 

Alain Cresson is an expert in defence and security industries in Japan and Franco-Japanese relations. Alain Cresson is a specialist in new technologies in the Asian market, particularly in defense and security, where he has more than 30 years of experience.

Before becoming an independent expert, Alain Cresson worked for the SGDN (Secrétariat Général de la Défense Nationale in direct liaison with the French Prime Minister), the DGA and the JADTES (Japan Defense Equipment and Technology Survey).

Alain Cresson assisted the Armament Attaché at the French Embassy in Japan from 2003 to 2006. In this capacity, he carried out sectoral studies and regular technological and industrial monitoring work, in particular for the DGA and for the Japanese Ministry of Defense (TRDI, Japanese equivalent of the French DGA). Alain Cresson has also prepared and organized delegations of Japanese military engineers in France and visits of officials and industrialists to Japan.

In the field of defence, armaments and security in Japan, Alain Cresson initiated technical studies and analyzes for the NWMO, where he provided his expertise from 1994 to 2003.

In addition to speaking fluent Japanese, Alain Cresson acquired during his missions and regular trips in Japan a sharp knowledge of the Japanese industry which allows him to maintain a network of contacts on the spot.

Alain Cresson holds a bachelor’s degree from INALCO (Paris), and a computer science degree from INIG (Paris).
