Bruno Salgues

Expert in Innovation & Information Technologies

Since 2010, Bruno Salgues is Director of studies in the Innovation Department of the Mines Telecom Institute where he also participates in the development of the Health Engineering Center.

In addition, Bruno Salgues currently participates in the work of the World Summit on the Information Society of the UN (SMSI, WSIS) and advises many players in the French electronics sector on their strategies. Bruno finally takes part in the Board of Directors or Supervisory Board of several companies in the IT sector.

From 1989 to 2010, Bruno was a research professor in the Department of Management Sciences at the National Institute of Telecommunications.

From 1981 to 1989, Bruno was in charge of the “Services” department within the Department of Forecasting of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. He was responsible for the areas of transport, health, audiovisual and telecommunications.

Bruno Salgues took part in the creation of five engineering schools, a management school, as well as the TIC & Santé Montpellier training.

Bruno Salgues graduated from the French National School of Statistics and Economic Administration (ENSAE) and Sciences-Po Paris.

Bruno also holds the DESS Information System from the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne, the DESS of Business Administration from IAE Paris-I, a Bachelor of Mathematics from Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris VI) and a Master of Applied Economics from Paris Dauphine University (Paris 9).

 


 

Bruno is the author of the sery of books “Society 5.0” whose first volume “Industry of the future, technologies, methods and tools” was published in April 2018 editions ISTE editions. This series of books aims to describe emerging electronic and computing technologies, their current and potential applications, as well as the positive and negative impacts these technologies are likely to have on our contemporary societies. Emerging technologies include artificial intelligence, robotics, digital platforms, 3D printing, and many more.
